The dawn of a new era in product transparency and customer reviews…
Long have online reviews peppered the decision making process of UK consumers – especially for big purchases – but when OpenLabel makes it to the UK (which it will) we will see a new dawn rise.
We know that consumers are standing in shops looking on their mobiles checking out comparative prices of the goods they are considering buying; we know online-reviews are now instrumental in the purchase process of many people. Now in the US, by scanning barcodes with their mobile phones, consumers will be able to check what other people think of any product, see what it might contain, and it wont be long before the ethical transparency and pricing comparisons join the party.
This will create a new generation in product transparency and an increased focus on consumer -opinion. Neither of which are a bad thing.
